Hello World
Hi, this is Coelpts.
If you were looking for more info about me
or where you could find me online,
you've come to the right place.Check out the links below. I'll see you later.
But Who are You?
Coelpts | Sparky | Chief | Ransan
Pronouns: Mirror Yours | Age: Late 20s
Favorite Color: Indigo
-What do you do?
Not much. My favorite activities include talking to my friends and mutuals via Tumblr and Discord, making art, writing short stories, roleplaying, and playing video games.-How do your pronouns 'mirror mine'?
To put it simply, I would like you to use how you identify yourself to identify me. Or, if I'm being silly about it- Our pronouns, comrade. The full term is 'mirrorpronomial'.Examples: Are you a she/they? I'm a she/they now! You got them bun/bunself neopronouns? I'd like them too, they're awesome! It/its? Same hat. No pronouns? My name only, please! That sort of thing.-What do you use to make your art?
For traditional art, my sketches are done using a .7mm mechanical pencil on Strathmore Sketch 300 series paper. Anything inked uses a Pentel Black Brush Pen. Colors are some old Prismacolor Premier colored pencils I've had since high school. Before December 2021 I didn't have a drawing tablet, so I made my digital art as a vector in Inkscape and used Paint.NET to apply visual effects and filters. Now, I use a HUION Kamvas 16 Pro with Krita. I'm considering moving to CSP, but Krita is working really well for now.-What does 'Coelpts' mean? How is it pronounced?
Coelpts doesn't mean anything- it's a typo from the word 'Ocelots' I made while playing Minecraft. I've heard it pronounced many ways, but I personally prefer 'Ko-Elps'.-How did you get your other nicknames?
Sparky was based on the Cadet identity of my main roleplay muse during my time at the Aquabats Super Server, Alex Archer. Chief is a shortened form of 'Chief Copperbottom's No.1 Fan'. Ransan is a shortened form of my old Tumblr url, randomositysammich. 'The Beef Boy' was based on an incident at a previous job, where I was slapping a bag of precooked beef and whispering 'beef' over and over as a form of enrichment; my co-workers saw me and it became a whole thing.-How can I talk to you?
Shoot me an ask on Tumblr. It's my main social media hub, so I'm around more often than not. You can also reach me on Discord at Coelpts#5055 if we're mutuals, but don't be a clown about it.-Can I reblog your posts?
Are you, like, new to Tumblr? If so, welcome to the Hellsite! And yes. If I don't want someone to reblog one of my posts, I'll set it to unreblogable. Please, for the love of me, reblog my art and silly text posts as much as you want! I love seeing people enjoy stuff I make.-What are some fun facts about you?
Right, let me think for a moment...hm...
I'm some [ ] from the northwest US that cooks for its friends.
I'm a Sagittarius. Specifically a Sagicorn, if that means anything to you.
I use Firefox.
I like pork dumplings, lamb gyros, rare steak, and rice. My favorite fruits are green grapes and kiwis.
My favorite font is Georgia. However, the font on this page is Inconsolata.
My gender swaps between 'literally nothing at all' and 'crushing reverence like a divine revelation'.
I'm burned out by capitalism, but hey, aren't we all?
I have a bad, bad case of 'give me the controller'-itis.
There's a non-zero possibility I have undiagnosed ADHD and/or autism. I'm trying very hard to make my brain work.
I have so many projects on the backburner that I'm starting to have a serious laundry stove issue.
I have catastrophically bad memory problems. I remember very very specific things and forget absolutely everything else.
I am trying to learn how to code. Unfortunately, my native language is fucking Google Sheets, where I have made at least three functioning web applets and encoded a spreadsheet version of rombank switching. I have no idea why this is what comes naturally to me, but I guess here we are?
I reblog a lot of political posts because I think it's important to stay informed about the state of the world, no matter how much it sucks. Especially since it sucks.
I try to curate my online experience as much as possible. Shinigami Eyes is a killer add-on, did you know?
If you're mean to my friends, I can't say I'll be especially friendly to you.
-Can you talk about your old computers?
That's a weirdly specific ask, but sure, I'll indulge.I grew up during the era of the Computer Room, so when I was a very small child I didn't necessarily have my own personal computer; we all used the same one in a little studio room off the hall, and I used it more than my fair share. It got moved around over time, from my parents room to the living room, but it did eventually make its way to my room where I claimed primary ownership. Even when we moved houses and it once again landed in a semi-public space, I was the one that used it most. It ran on Windows 98 and was a clunker of a machine, but it got the job done.Sometime in the late 2000s the clunker was beginning to show its age, so my parents decided to surprise me with the gift of a brand new Compaq laptop. Lappy was extremely good to me, even if she overheated very frequently while I was reading Homestuck for the very first time. I made a lot of art with her and when I turned 13 I even used it to make a Gaia Online account. Unfortunately a lot of my very old files were lost after a rogue factory reset, so those drawings and shitty fanfics are lost to time.Lappy was replaced with a Toshiba laptop in the early 2010s and passed on to a friend of mine. XANAPC lasted a good long while, too; it was the first PC that I used for more dedicated online gaming like Minecraft and Team Fortress 2. But I wouldn't say XANA was a good laptop, per se. Even at the time, he was falling behind. But he always was, and still is, a trooper- technically, he still works! But once games started to become more graphically intense, I needed another way to play them. I needed an actual desktop computer. My friend Ushi helped cobble together a PC out of spare parts and cards he had, and the new computer was named Chunk because he was a chonky boi. Again, not especially powerful- and not super reliable either, but he worked!...But not for long. A surge spiked Chunk at the same time as a serious rendering error, frying his motherboard and integrated WiFi card. The Minecraft multiplayer world that caused the error was dead in the water and Ushi had to take in Chunk to try and salvage what he could. After many, MANY serious hardware errors, what was left of Chunk was used to build his son- Chip 'Funk Machine' Son-of-Chunk. Funk Machine was overcome with errors and problems from day one, ranging from frequent memory leaks to bluescreens and persistent graphical bugs. His RAM didn't work quite right, and his WiFi card was a little slow, and his HDMI port was stripped so you had to use a VGA adapter to plug a monitor into him. But by god, he was a computer and he never gave up. He lasted through two moves, and it was only when I tried playing more intensive games and using bigger, beefier art programs that he started to finally show signs of needing a replacement. My current PC is Oberon Blues. I built him myself with new parts, designed to be a higher-end computer on a budget. So far his only issues were user error- putting the SSD into the wrong slot, placing his graphics card in the wrong bay, plugging his RAM into the secondary ports, running out of SATA cables, and (somehow) putting his audio jack header cable into the wrong pins. And I was able to salvage Funk Machine's HDDs to serve as extra storage space, so some of him lives on even now.I get weirdly sentimental about my old computers.-Is this actually an FAQ?
Not exactly, and I removed the banner at the top for that very reason. Some of the questions are asked to me on occasion, but for the most part the format just happens to be a useful for me to use so I can dump lots of information in one simple, sexy way. Actually frequently asked questions will be answered...like, somewhere more easily visible, along with here.

Book/Novel
I haven't had much motivation to properly read many books recently, but I've been told I'd like Discworld. I also tried to crack open Journey to the West recently. Oh, also on the backlog: House of Leaves.
I used to like reading a lot, actually. I enjoyed the Pendragon series even with its messy YA writing, and Warriors was a big part of my life for a while. Same with Cirque du Freak, but that was WAY back in middle school. Young shame and whatnot.
